Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use this website. We build it to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we have done

• Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, and focus is always visible.
• Text meets contrast requirements in both light and dark colour schemes.
• Book covers carry text alternatives, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• Animation is switched off when your device asks for reduced motion.
• Pages reflow at small widths and at up to 400 per cent zoom without loss of content.

Known limitations

Book covers are images of designed artwork, and the text on them is not machine-readable. The title, author and description of every book appear as text on its page.
